Emma Gilbert
After being educated at Launceston College, then Duchy
College, Emma worked for a number of local companies
stocktaking. At 21 Emma moved to Farnborough to take
on the role of Expenses Assistant for a computer company.
It was there that Emma decided which direction her career
was to take and embarked on the ACCA qualification in
1998, qualifiying with her final exams in 2001. During
this time responsible for the management accounting
of a £60m client account.
June 2003 saw Emma return to
Launceston as a Company Management Accountant for a
local firm. Emma then took the decision to go self-employed,
initially starting her business part-time in 2004, before
launching Buttons Accounting in September 2005.
A Qualified Accountant, with
ten years experience and a thorough knowledge of current
business and legislation, combined with Emma's patient
and helpful attitude make her a popular choice amongst
her current clients.
